Máté Jancsovics is a Hungarian drummer, educator and the creator of The Hybrid Drummer. He has experience teaching both in person and online, as well as leading workshops for drummers with different skill levels. In 2026, he was one of the instructors at Sardinia Drum Camp. He also has experience as an electronic drum demonstrator, presenting electronic drum instruments and exploring their playing possibilities.

He is the author of Four On The Floor – The Fundamentals of House and Techno Drumming, a book dedicated to house and techno drumming. The book features a collection of drum grooves written out in notation, providing drummers with material to study and practise.

As The Hybrid Drummer, Máté combines live drumming with electronic music in a hybrid live performance. Built around a hybrid drum kit, the setup allows him to perform and control both acoustic drum parts and electronic elements in real time, rather than simply playing over a pre-produced backing track. His sound is rooted in house, techno and electro, with room for more experimental and atmospheric electronic influences. The visual side of the performance is also closely connected to the music, with lighting that responds directly to his drumming.
