Alfredo Giammanco

Live electronics, Sound Art

Italy

Alfredo Giammanco is an Italian live electronics and sound art practitioner who uses electronic hardware to build unconventional, immersive sensory experiences. Based in Italy, Giammanco performs using a complex setup of analog synthesizers, laptops, and various electronic devices to construct what he calls architectural soundscapes.

Moving completely outside the boundaries of traditional music, his live sets lean heavily into science fiction aesthetics, painting a vivid sound trip designed to simulate a voyage through distant galaxies. His primary creative vehicle is Dronescape, a live project that acts as an ongoing experiment in deep sound design. Built entirely in real time, the performance intentionally steps away from predictable rhythms to let raw electronic textures interact with physical spaces—blurring the lines between sound art, painting, and three-dimensional sculpture. Whether echoing through contemporary art festivals like MainOFF or filling unique historical spaces like the semi-subterranean rock churches of Sicily, Giammanco’s live manipulation of warm analog frequencies transforms any venue into a deeply hypnotic and cinematic universe.
